Tips for StreamAlertsTV: The Wheel of Misfortune

Our best-performing viewer interaction is the Wheel of Misfortune, a spinning wheel that always builds anticipation for viewers. What will it land on?!

But there is more to it than that: you can fully brand the wheel in your own style, create multiple variations, and now even change the odds of each outcome with weights.

Customize

If your channel has a certain aesthetic, or you just have your favorites, you can pick up to three different colors. And if you decide to add more than one wheel (more on why below), you can make each one distinguishable with a few quick switches. Go devilishly red with flashbangs, jump scares, and smoke bombs, or green as grass with frogs and butterflies. You can even set a different Bits price to reflect how impactful the disruption is.

New: Super Size

We have just launched a Super Size option. It ramps up the chaos by extending effects, adding complexity, or multiplying the objects on screen.

Once again, the Wheel of Misfortune proves itself the MVP. Spin three wheels simultaneously, and you get a genuinely chaotic moment, without just dragging out the duration. Your viewers should feel like those extra Bits were truly worth it.

What to try on your next stream

Go to the Extensions tab in the application and set up three wheels in total:

• •Easy: low impact, with a small chance of landing on something terrible (like a Knight POV effect).
• •Medium: the default, a balanced mix of cool interactions.
• •Hard: costs a bit more, with genuinely terrible outcomes.
