Event recap

TwitchCon Europe x StreamAlertsTV

Our booth experience at Rotterdam Ahoy! - Press the red button!

We had a great time at TwitchCon Europe this year. It was our first time exhibiting with StreamAlertsTV, and we wanted to give people a simple, hands-on way to see what we're building.

The red button experience

At our booth, visitors could press the red button, which triggered Lights Out!, a small interactive game where the stream goes dark except for a circle around the mouse. The goal is to find the light switch while the game keeps running in the background.

We had to make a custom button, which was done by scraping an arcade cabinet. Here is how a test run looked:

Community reactions

It was fun to watch people's reactions. The moment the screen went dark, there was a clear "ah, now I get it." That was exactly the point. We wanted to show how viewers can actively shape the stream with small but impactful moments.

Looking forward

In addition to connecting with the community, we also saw strong interest from organizations. We're looking forward to exploring branded collaborations and finding ways to support charities in their streaming efforts.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and gave it a try. We really appreciated the conversations and feedback. We're looking forward to the next one, hopefully in San Diego later this year.
